Ballet Class
Branding
Visual toolkit creation
Ballet Class is a platform that shares technical knowledge by giving professional dancers a place to teach others. Whether an adult beginner returning to ballet for enjoyment and its health benefits, or a serious student aspiring to join a professional company, Ballet Class has the guidance needed.
Lisa was approached to design a total rebrand and new visual language.

the brief
A new and meaningful brand and visual language was desired for the next stage of Ballet Class, to work across all platforms – both digital and print – to earn the brand its place in the global professional ballet community.
The brief was to create something striking and contemporary whilst remaining connected to the language of classical ballet.

the solution
Balancing premium expertise with accessibility, I created a new Ballet Class brand that feels contemporary while remaining rooted in the classical foundations of ballet.
Inspired by the shared language of ballet and modern architecture, the identity explores structure, precision, balance, movement and space – disciplines in which rigorous technique creates the appearance of effortless expression.
The curved geometric forms are drawn from the spaces within the capital ‘B’ of the chosen typeface, with the second form creating an abstract ‘C’ to subtly form ‘BC’. They can also be read as abstract ballet shoes or feet in fifth position, while their use of form and negative space reflects the curves, openings and rhythm of both dance and the spaces in which we move.
The result is a confident, restrained visual language that moves Ballet Class beyond the traditional dance-school aesthetic, reflecting not simply learning ballet, but the discipline and mastery of the craft.
